Vix Technology has been named a finalist in the 2024 Transport Ticketing Awards for ‘Ticketing Technology of the Year’.

This award recognises innovative ticketing technology and projects from around the world. Vix Smart Gates has been nominated following our successful partnership with Transport for Wales, where we achieved a significant milestone in the UK rail industry by launching a digital-first automatic ticket gate pilot program. This collaboration marked Transport for Wales as the first train operator outside London to introduce contactless EMV ticketing in heavy rail.
