StarSeed Growth Value Fund
Why StarSeed Growth Value Fund?
The StarSeed Growth Value Fund (the “Fund”) is a Singapore-based, long-term investment strategy combining US secular growth equities with Korean value opportunities.
The Fund pursues a concentrated, high-conviction approach across two complementary sources of potential alpha: structural growth in the United States and value creation opportunities in Korea.
In the US, the Fund focuses on innovative, market-leading businesses with large addressable markets, durable competitive advantages and the potential to compound intrinsic value over the long term.
In Korea, the Fund targets companies that the investment team considers to be significantly undervalued, where improvements in corporate governance, capital allocation and shareholder returns may help unlock hidden value.
Both strategies are underpinned by the same investment principle: seek opportunities where the gap between intrinsic value and market expectations is unusually large.
Investment Philosophy
Compounding through complementary sources of alpha
StarSeed Growth Value Fund seeks to generate long-term capital appreciation through a concentrated barbell strategy across US growth equities and Korean value opportunities.
The Fund invests in a limited number of high-conviction opportunities where structural growth, valuation asymmetry or identifiable catalysts may provide the potential for attractive long-term returns.
US secular winners
The Fund invests in innovative, market-leading companies with large addressable markets, durable competitive advantages and long-term growth opportunities.
The strategy focuses on structural themes including technology, artificial intelligence, healthcare, consumer and financial services, with an emphasis on businesses that may be capable of compounding intrinsic value over many years.
The Fund is prepared to tolerate short-term volatility where the underlying long-term fundamentals remain intact.
Korean value opportunities
The Fund believes there are significant opportunities among deeply undervalued Korean companies, particularly where improvements in corporate governance, capital allocation and shareholder returns may unlock previously unrecognised value.
Governance is an integral part of the Fund’s fundamental analysis. Where appropriate, the Fund engages constructively with companies and may pursue shareholder activism to encourage better capital allocation, stronger shareholder returns and governance reform.
One philosophy, two sources of opportunity
Although the strategies operate in different markets, they share the same underlying philosophy: invest with high conviction when the gap between intrinsic value and market expectations is unusually wide.
In the United States, this may reflect the market underestimating a company’s long-term growth potential. In Korea, it may arise from undervaluation, governance inefficiencies or opportunities to improve capital allocation.
By combining these complementary sources of potential alpha, StarSeed seeks to build a portfolio with asymmetric return potential and long-term compounding characteristics.

Investment Principles
Concentrated Conviction
A focused portfolio of investments selected for their long-term fundamental potential, with capital allocated to opportunities where the investment team has a high degree of conviction.
US Secular Winners
Market-leading businesses with durable competitive advantages, large addressable markets and long-term growth opportunities, with the potential to compound intrinsic value over time.
Korean Value Creation
Undervalued companies where governance, capital allocation and shareholder-return improvements may help unlock hidden value.
Investment Team
Research-led investing with governance insight
The StarSeed team combines experience across law, corporate governance, technology, consulting and institutional equity research, bringing complementary perspectives to fundamental investment analysis.
